Brief event’s summary
Access to safe and dignified sanitation is a fundamental human right, yet it remains a pressing challenge in many parts of the world, particularly in regions facing severe water scarcity and economic hardship. The Southern Ghor District in Jordan, nestled within the arid landscapes of the Middle East and poverty-pocket hotspot, presents a poignant example of an underserved community grappling with these multifaceted challenges. The proposed mobile latrine design is envisioned as more than a sanitation solution; it is a pathway toward improved public health, enhanced livelihoods, and a more dignified way of life for the people of Southern Ghor. As we embark on this journey to enhance sanitation access, we acknowledge the importance of community engagement and collaboration with local stakeholders, ensuring that the chosen design aligns with the aspirations and needs of the end-users.
